1. Select your rekordbox USB
- Open LastCUE and connect the USB you want to back up.
- Click AUTO SCAN to detect a connected rekordbox USB automatically, or click CHOOSE PATH and select the USB drive itself, such as
H:\. - LastCUE will show the track count, playlist count, and latest backup information on the main screen.
2. Choose a backup type and create the CUE Backup
- Choose Quick backup to save the rekordbox library files only.
- Choose Analysis backup if you also want to keep the cue points, waveform, and other analysis data referenced by the library. Analysis backup takes longer to complete.
- Click the large CUE button to create the backup.
If rekordbox is still running, LastCUE will ask you to close it first. Close rekordbox, then click CUE again to start the backup.
3. Review what changed
After the CUE Backup is complete, check CHANGE SUMMARY to see what changed since the previous backup.
- Review added or removed tracks.
- Check new or updated playlists.
- Click Playlist details to see which tracks were added to or removed from each playlist.
Previous backups are listed under CUE HISTORY, so you can go back and review earlier library changes at any time.
4. Open a CUE Backup and inspect the library
Select a backup from CUE HISTORY, then click Playlist details to open it in the backup viewer.
- Browse the saved playlists and tracks in the backup viewer.
- Select a track to review its library information.
- If the backup was created with Analysis backup, you can also review the saved cue points and waveform data.
Older backups remain available in CUE HISTORY, so you can return to them whenever you need to check an earlier version of the library.
5. Restore a CUE Backup to the USB
If the library on your USB becomes damaged, select an earlier backup from CUE HISTORY and click Restore to USB.
LastCUE restores the saved library data to the selected USB. If the backup was created with Analysis backup, the saved cue points, waveform, and other analysis data can be restored with it.
CUE Backups do not include the music files themselves. If the original audio files are still on the USB, they will remain available in the restored library. If an audio file has been deleted or lost, LastCUE cannot recreate it, so that track will still be missing its audio file.
