Product and privacy
Does LastCUE upload my USB library or music files?
LastCUE processes your USB library and audio on your computer and saves backups to a local folder you choose. Account services and limited usage records use the network. Support reports are sent only when you submit them; attaching the original export.pdb requires a separate opt-in.
Read the full answerDoes a LastCUE backup include music files?
It depends on the mode. Quick and Analysis do not include music files. Full saves the complete PIONEER and Contents folder trees, including existing music in those folders. These backups are stored locally.
Read the full answerDoes LastCUE support Device Library and OneLibrary?
Both are supported for readable-library previews, backups, compatibility checks, and supported conversion or text-tool workflows. Corrupted-library repair requires Device Library export.pdb. Full can restore saved OneLibrary files, which is a different operation from repairing a damaged exportLibrary.db.

rekordbox says “Device library is corrupted.” Should I click Yes or No?
Choose No first when you need to preserve the existing USB data. Stop exporting or reinitializing that USB, keep an independent copy of what is still readable, and inspect the available repair preview before deciding what to replace.
Read the full answerWhat can LastCUE repair, and what cannot be recovered?
LastCUE can rebuild a supported Device Library from surviving source data, including recoverable playlists and metadata. It cannot recreate deleted or missing audio, fix physical USB failure, or currently repair a damaged OneLibrary database. A prior Full backup may restore audio it actually captured.
Read the full answerIs repair preview free, and when do I use a Repair Credit?
Previewing does not use a Repair Credit. A credit is reserved for a confirmed repair and consumed when the accepted repair result is delivered and confirmed. Writing that result to the USB is a separate step; retrying the same confirmed result does not require another credit.
Read the full answerWill repair change my USB, and is it backed up first?
Preview and local result generation do not overwrite the USB. An explicitly confirmed repair write replaces export.pdb and first creates a local automatic Quick backup of the existing library. That safety backup does not contain music files.
Read the full answerRepair finished, but USB writing failed. Do I need another credit?
No additional credit is needed to retry the same confirmed result. Open Repair tasks, choose View result, and use Write to USB again. If credit confirmation is pending, reconnect and continue that existing task first.

How do the five Free backup slots work, and what happens when they are full?
Free provides five reusable slots for retained formal backups, rather than five lifetime backup attempts or five USB devices. At the limit, delete an older backup in LastCUE or upgrade to Pro to create another. Pro expiry does not automatically delete existing formal backups.
Read the full answerWhere are LastCUE backups stored, and can I move them?
Backups are saved locally, by default in ~/LastCUE/backups, unless you choose another folder. View the actual path in Settings or open it from backup history. For newer shared-object backups, copy the complete backup library rather than a .lcue file alone.
Read the full answerHow do I restore a rekordbox USB from a LastCUE backup?
Choose the required version in backup history and select Restore to USB. Check the target and overwrite confirmation before starting. Quick restores library data; Analysis also restores its captured analysis files; Full can restore saved music. Only the selected version's contents are used.
Read the full answerWhat is the difference between Quick, Analysis, and Full Backup?
Quick Backup: Back up the library and playlists only for a faster result. Analysis Backup: Also back up waveforms and Cue data; this takes longer. Full Backup: Includes the complete library and all music files; takes the longest. Quick and Analysis do not include music. Full captures the existing readable files in PIONEER and Contents, not a whole-disk image.
Read the full answerWill my backups be deleted or locked when Pro expires?
Existing owner-matched formal backups are not automatically deleted or frozen because they exceed five. Free blocks new formal backups at or above the limit. Pro detail views and tools require active Pro access; local files and account identity still determine what history is available.

Conversion and compatibility
Why does my CDJ show E-8305 UNSUPPORTED FILE FORMAT for FLAC or WAV?
E-8305: UNSUPPORTED FILE FORMAT can appear when the player cannot decode the loaded audio format or parameters. Playing successfully in rekordbox does not prove compatibility with a standalone CDJ or XDJ. Check the exact model, encoding, sample rate, bit depth, and file integrity, then convert a readable source to a supported format if needed.
Read the full answerWill converting FLAC or WAV keep my cue points and beat grid?
LastCUE's conversion workflow carries the available source analysis data to the converted tracks, including cue points, beat grids, and waveforms. It also updates the library references. It cannot recreate analysis files that are missing or damaged; review the result and test timing on your player.
Read the full answerShould I choose MP3 128 kbps, MP3 320 kbps, or WAV?
MP3 320 kbps offers smaller files than uncompressed WAV and is a practical option when your player supports it. MP3 128 kbps saves more space with a lower bitrate. WAV 16-bit PCM avoids an additional lossy encoding step but uses more space. All three current LastCUE presets output 44.1 kHz stereo.

Can I search Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and accented Latin track names on a CDJ?
LastCUE supports Chinese pinyin and initials, Japanese and Korean romanization, and normalization of many accented Latin letters, including French and Spanish text, when the required language data is available. The default appends search text to Comment and preserves Title and Artist. If the player does not search Comment, choose Title as both the source and destination and use Append, then test on the actual player.
Read the full answerDoes Smart Cleanup delete songs or change cue points?
Smart Cleanup edits selected text fields in the exported library. It does not delete audio or rewrite analysis files. Clearing Comment does remove the notes or search readings stored there, so review the selected fields and rows before applying.

What is the difference between Pro, Lifetime Pro, and one-time repair?
Pro provides the paid backup details, tools, and unlimited local backup slots included in the plan. Monthly and annual Pro renew; Lifetime Pro is a one-time Pro entitlement for the product or service's operational lifetime as described at purchase. Repair Credits are separate, and Pro does not include unlimited repairs.
Read the full answerDoes Pro include Repair Credits? Do I need Pro for a repair?
No. Pro, including Lifetime Pro, does not include Repair Credits; they are purchased separately. You do not need Pro to preview a supported damaged library or use a Repair Credit for a confirmed repair.
Read the full answerWhat happens after the free trial, and how do I stop renewal?
The current monthly offer shows a 30-day trial followed by monthly billing. Check your checkout's first-charge date and terms. Cancel through the app's available subscription action or the Creem purchase-management link before renewal, and check the cancellation status.
Read the full answerHow do I request a refund or cancel my subscription?
Canceling a subscription stops future renewal; it does not automatically refund an existing payment. Under the current policy, monthly or annual purchases and renewals, plus unused Repair Credit purchases, have a 14-day refund-request window. Lifetime and processed repair tasks have different rules. Submit a request through Support / Refunds or support@lastcuelab.com.
